Thomas is onderzoeker bij de Boekmanstichting. Voor de Cultuurmonitor volgt hij het domein Architectuur, in aansluiting op zijn bouwkunde-achtergrond. Daarnaast houdt hij zich bezig met thema’s als geldstromen, duurzaamheid en cultuurparticipatie.

In het kader van de VTO (Vrijetijdsomnibus) onderzoekt Thomas, samen met zijn collega Britt Swartjes, hoe actief Nederlanders zijn op het gebied van cultuur. Daarin bekijkt hij ook verschillen tussen leeftijdsgroepen én maakte hij een analyse van de participatiegraad van Nederlanders uit verschillende generaties.

Thomas is a researcher at the Boekman Foundation. For the Culture Monitor, he follows the Architecture domain, building on his background in the field. In addition, he works on themes such as funding flows, sustainability, and cultural participation.

As part of the VTO (Leisure Omnibus), Thomas, together with his colleague Britt Swartjes, researches how actively Dutch people engage with culture. In this context, he also examines differences between age groups and conducted an analysis of the participation rates of Dutch people across different generations
