Şirin Fulya Erensoy is filmwetenschapper, curator en docent Filmwetenschappen aan de Rijksuniversiteit Groningen. Haar werk onderzoekt film als een instrument voor politieke expressie en collectief verzet, met een focus op de raakvlakken tussen documentaire cinema, activisme en politieke esthetiek. Ze heeft filmvertoningen gecureerd en conferenties en panels georganiseerd over de rol van cinema in sociale en politieke bewegingen. Hierbij maakt ze gebruik van feministische en etnografische benaderingen om te onderzoeken hoe bewegende beelden interveniëren in contexten van repressie, ontheemding en collectieve strijd.
