Jan van den Eijnden is een veelzijdig musicus, docent, dirigent en adviseur. Vanuit zijn opleiding als schoolmusicus/docent muziek en hoornist aan het Conservatorium in Tilburg ontwikkelde hij een interessante, veelzijdige carrière waarin muziek-, kunst- en cultuureducatie centraal staan.

Gezien zijn brede werkervaring als docent en manager aan muziekscholen, centra voor de kunsten, Fontys Hogeschool voor de Kunsten / AMPA – Academy of Music and Performing Arts – en als specialist cultuureducatie bij het LKCA – het landelijk kennisinstituut cultuureducatie en amateurkunst – is hij een veelgevraagd adviseur bij het vormgeven van muziek- en cultuureducatie en ontwikkeltrajecten in de sector. Daarnaast fungeert hij veelvuldig als juryvoorzitter bij landelijke en internationale muziekconcoursen. Ook werkte hij mee aan de realisatie van tientallen publicaties.
